I’ve known Dani since she was tiny, we were very close to her family growing up and spent many happy skiing holiday and weekends away camping  with them. The first wedding I ever photographed was Dani’s brother Rich so when Dani asked me to photograph their wedding I was so happy and a little nervous, what an honour to be trusted with someone’s special day, especially when you’ve known them their whole life. Of course I was excited too and the day was an absolute pleasure, I’ve loved looking through the photos. Dani and Matt are childhood sweethearts and Dani looked absolutely gorgeous… that dress! So elegant with the perfect amount of sparkle, it definitely brought a tear to my eye seeing Dani all grown up and so happy. Her dad Kelvin’s reaction to how she looked is one of the best I’ve seen. Diana was the make up artist on the day, she was brilliant and Dani looked flawless.

Mill Barns is a stunning wedding venue in Alveley, it’s run by the same people who run Pedrell Hall (where I photographed my brother’s wedding) and The Ashes Barns. It’s obviously run by wedding pros as it’s beautiful and they’ve thought of everything to make a wedding special. Jam Jar Weddings and Events styled the venue to perfection.

Dani’s bridesmaids were so emotional, it was lovely to see friends who cared for her so much. Derek and Penny, Dani’s Aunt and Uncle performed the wedding blessing which meant it was extremely personal, full of beautiful words, tears, laughter and plenty of incredible photo opportunities. The smiles on Matt and Dani’s faces were amazing. After the ceremony we headed outside for confetti shots and group photos, the weather was perfect so we could make the most of The Mill Barns’ grounds. The meal was a carvery and someone from each table was nominated to wear the comedy aprons and carve the meat. Such a lovely sociable meal. So after 3 courses, plenty of champagne and brilliant speeches (so many people joined in) we got the party started with The Capture Booth, a band and plenty of dancing. I borrowed Dani and Matt later in the evening  for some romantic moonlit photos, again Mill Barns was the perfect backdrop, gorgeously lit and colourful. Thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer, it was an honour and I loved every minute.

Amy is AMAZING! She has known me since I was around 4 years old and recently photographed our wedding. She made it so special and worked along side our videographer brilliantly to get the best shots of everything. She is truly amazing at what she does, and has an eye for detail that creates the most beautiful photos, I could not recommend her enough! Thank you so much for capturing our day perfectly.
