I had an amazing time photographing Ali and Joe’s wedding in Nottingham. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, I knew this lovely pair were attempting to stick to a fairly strict budget and their reception was going to be held at a local scout hut. The whole day was just full of lovely surprises. After a relaxed morning at Ali’s house taking the bridal preparation photos (including plenty of cute ones of baby Joseph) Ali and Joe got married at Arnot Hill Register Office, a gorgeous building with lovely grounds. After an emotional service I took the group photos outside, the weather was perfect. Then the minibus turned up to take everyone to The Scout Hut. 

I pulled up to the reception venue to see an incredible Teepee, beautifully decorated with wild flowers and fairy lights. Ali had put in some much thought and work to all the little details, it was like a fairy tale. Joe even made the love letters! The grounds were perfect, little secluded areas to sit and chat, paths into the woods so we could wander off for some couple photos, areas for the kids to play and a fire pit. Turns out the Teepee had been there for a couple of days so Joe had been camping out to make sure it was looked after, now that’s dedication!

The wedding breakfast was picnic hampers full of incredibly tasty treats and if you had any room left there was a brilliant home made tee pee cake and sweet table. My favourite part was the camper van converted into a self service bar… amazing! As the evening drew in The Capture Booth opened and the fire was lit, these two thought of everything, it was a brilliant day and I loved being your wedding photographer. We booked Amy to take our wedding photos and not only were her prices really reasonable, but she took the perfect photos that captured our day just as we’d hoped! 
We have had so many comments from our friends and family about how lovely the photos were, we could’t recommend Amy enough.

Ps the photo booth was worth every penny – the best way to get fun photos of all our guests.
