Tina &
Ray
August 2018
It was such a beautiful day for Tina and Ray’s wedding extraveganza, from the moment they booked me for their wedding photography I was super excited. The bridal preparations took place at her friend’s house in Bournville, she kept everyone fed and watered, you can’t beat a bit of eggy bread on your wedding day! The horse and cart turned up to take Tina, her dad and Whizz (the dog) to the ceremony at Selly Manor. The horses were so beautiful and Tina looked amazing… what a dress! It was a pleasure to photograph the whole day.
Selly Manor in Bournville is a very special place to get married, such quaint buildings made for an impressive backdrop for a wedding and a pleasure to photograph. The harpist sang as Tina’s dad walked her down the aisle, it was lovely seeing so many people grinning from ear to ear as this brilliant couple said their vows.
After a few drinks and photos (of course) we all headed over to Rowheath Pavillion for the reception, Tina & Ray wouldn’t let me join them in the horse and cart unfortunately so I raced ahead to catch their grand entrance. As you can imagine, the party that followed was amazing. So many personal touches, their friend DJ’d and everyone danced their little hearts out. I loved capturing the drunken dance moves although I’m sure some people would’ve preferred them to be forgotten! This wedding was awesome, I’m so sad it’s over and I’m hoping they’ll have an anniversary party. Thanks again guys for trusting me with your wedding photography!
From the bride…
Amy has been a diamond from the first time we met and booked her through the whole wedding prep and we couldn’t have asked for better photos from our wedding day. Amy has done such an amazing job at capturing our colourful alternative wedding. I love how Amy can slip quite confidently between a wedding like our own and a much more traditional wedding and totally smash it out of the park with the photos on both, she really takes time to get to know you as a couple and find outexactly what you want and how you want it captured. we didn’t want your typical “everyone stand in a line and say cheese” photographer, Amy really “got” us, there was barely any posed shots and you can really see what a fun time we had, what a good bunch of friends we have and how much we love each other- also that we’re a pair of divs! 😂 thanks Amy, we can’t thank you enough ❤️ 🌻
