Becci &
Joe
October 2018
I met Joe and Becci at The National Wedding Show, they loved my style of photography and booked me the same day to photograph their beautiful autumnal wedding in Stratford, they chose the very impressive St. Peter Ad Vincula Church for their ceremony and it was packed with people who obiviously cared a lot for them. The readings were lovely and heartfelt, the bridesmaids sang beautifully and played piano, the hymns were belted out by everyone and I’ve never heard a cheer so loud or go on for so long when they were pronounced man and wife. The light was beautiful for the bubbles (instead of confetti) when we got outside, there were so many people it was amazing.
The reception was held at Alveston Pastures Farm, a lovely old building set in the picturesque warickshire countryside, perfect for a photo shoot. Guests were greeted with autumnul cocktails and the weather was perfect so everyone could mingle outside. Joe and Becci’s attention to detail was amazing, the tables were decorated with bonsai trees, edible and inedible decorations, the favours were home-made jam, fairy lights filled the room and the fire was roaring. The meal was sharing platters to start and sausage and mash for main, so tasty!
As the sun was setting I borrowed Joe and Becci to take some sunset photographs, the low autumn sun of the golden hour is incredible for atmospheric photographs. Their guests got lost in the maze, yes that’s right, there was a maze! This couple don’t do things by halves so of course their first dance started with a few bars of Titanic before launching into a monster mash up of tunes and rehersed dance moves, very impressive with the size of Becci’s dress. The evening entertainment of a ceilidh band got everyone on the dance floor, the only excuse not to be up there was if you were posing for your charicature. And my favourite part of the day, the evening buffet was the biggest selection of cereal you’ve ever seen… and if you didn’t fancy just plain boring old milk? Why not have your cereal with strawberry milkshake? Oh and I almost forgot to mention The Capture Booth which was very popular. See Joe and Becci’s photos here. So all in all, it was an amazing day and I’m so pleased they chose me as their wedding photographer.
