Wedding Photography

I’ve known Bobby and Gemma for years now so being asked to photograph their wedding was really lovely, especially when they told me it wasn’t going to be in Birmingham, it would be at Lusty Glaze in Cornwall. My first beach wedding, I was super excited!

The whole day was completely relaxed and beautiful, Bobby and Gem are very laid back which was completely reflected in the day.

Gemma, her bridesmaids and flower girls got ready at Lewinnick Lodge. Her award winning make up artist (Orchard Make Up) did an amazing job. Alice (Alice Jane Hair Design) created beautiful hairstyles for Gemma and the wedding party. The views were unbelievable and the hotel room felt like we were on a cruise ship as the huge window looked out onto the sea. Attempting to get some photos outside was hilarious, it was so windy!

The ceremony at Lusty Glaze was emotional and sweet, with a backdrop of beach sea and dramatic cliffs. We were so lucky with the weather, most of the day was beautiful and sunny and we were protected from the wind between the steep cliffs.

The afternoon was filled with photos, confetti, beautiful canapes, beach cricket, kids building sandcastles and plenty of prosecco. After the amazing bbq I sneaked off with the bride and groom as the tide was out so we could take advantage of the impressive cave and mussel covered rocks on the beach. Gemma’s gorgeous flowers were by Blossom and Kelp.

The speeches were funny, Bobby got on stage and sang a song and the dancing got more crazy… Gemma performed a dirty dancing style lift of course and didn’t fall on her face. Phew! All with the awesome backdrop through the floor to ceiling windows. These two certainly nailed doing a wedding. Congratulations and thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
