Rach & Tom
August 2019
I’ve known Rachael and Tom for quite a few years and I’ve photographed the weddings of some of their friends so I knew when they asked me to be their wedding photographer the day would be very entertaining. The bridal preparations were lovely, Jeni Foxall was responsible for all of the beautiful hair and make-up. Rach’s flowers were delivered by Floral Exuberance and I’d never seen wedding flowers like them before. They featured orchids and the purple and green colours were so striking. Rachael looked amazing in her dress from The Cotswold Frock Shop and I’ve never seen Tom brush up so well thanks to TDR Menswear in Halesowen.
The Punchbowl Inn in Bridgnorth has a gorgeous space for outdoor civil ceremonies but I’m pretty sure this happy couple booked this lovely venue because of the award winning carveries they serve! I did get to sample the food, it was delicious. The ceremony was very relaxed with lots of laughter and great readings by the mums. After being pelted with confetti as they walked back up the aisle everyone enjoyed drinks on the veranda surrounded by stunning views of the Shropshire countryside.
Everyone gathered together for group photos, nothing too stuffy and formal and then Tom, Rach and I wandered off for couple photos on the Japanese style bridge over the ornamental lake and in the gazebo. Rachael’s dad gave his speech outside and it was brilliant, of course he had a dog puppet wearing the wedding colours. Apparently he was so disappointed their puppy Poppy couldn’t be a part of the wedding in a bridesmaid dress, the puppet was the compromise. I heard Rach’s parents prefer the puppy to her… oh and Tom got a medal – he looked very pleased with himself.
Overall it was a fantastic day and I loved photographing this wedding.

I’d love to hear about Your Big Day!
From the bride…
Amy was fabulous from start to finish. Relaxed, yet professional and the photos are exactly what we wanted! Some more formal to make sure we got everyone in, some funny and staged and then just natural shots catching lovely (and some hilarious) moments! Would highly recommend her to capture any occasion.
