It was at The Abbey Wedding Fair in Redditch I met Helen & Scott and when they booked their reception there they got in touch to ask me to be their photographer. Their wedding was a gorgeous family filled affair, their kids were such an important part of the day. Helen got ready at their family home, Elaine Cooper was the lady in charge of the lovely hair and make up. The wedding ceremony was held at St. Matthias & St. George Church in Astwood Bank. Their son was ‘Ring Security’ and was very proud to have his own personalised case to transport the precious cargo and their daughter was a beautiful flower girl. 

After the ceremony everyone gathered outside in the sun and lined up to throw confetti. Scott loves super heroes so the groomsmen’s cufflinks and button holes were made with lego superheroes!  I love photographing the little details at weddings, they’re what makes them special. I was 8 months pregnant while shooting this wedding so the lovely Adele (Fly on the Wall Photography) came along as my trusty assistant. We took some group photos and couple shots in front of the church before everyone set off for The Abbey Hotel to get stuck into the party.

After the drinks reception and some fun group photos (the groomsmen all revealed their super hero T-shirts under their suits)  the guests were seated for their meal. Adele and I decided to take the remaining couple photos during golden hour, the light was beautiful but the best bit was Helen and Scott got to borrow a golf buggy to speed off into the sunset. There were some lovely photo opportunities on the bridge and the 18th hole and the happy couple got to spend some alone time together.
